Today we return to Miss Charlotte's baby adventure.  I have blogged about her Fresh 48 session, Newborn session and now 6 months milestone session. I love photographing babies at 6 months, capturing their little personalities and all the new things they are starting to do.  Their smiles are the best. I always know when mom or dad is behind me, that is always the best smile!  Charlotte was no different and she was the perfect model! I like to start my 6 month photo sessions with baby in a onesie (either in white or favorite color) on the air mattress I have in my white studio.  I capture baby sitting up with a bunch of pillows to support baby, laying down playing with their feet, tummy time and I try to get few sibling photos.  Next we move baby to baby bed.  This is my favorite prop to use!  In the baby bed they roll, play in a safe area and I capture all the goodness.  Sometimes I capture parents and siblings playing with baby, these moments are really the best pho

Last week I said I would be posting Miss Charlotte's 6 Mos. Milestone portraits....Well, I will be writing that blog but not today....Today I want to feature a 1 Year / Cake Smash Session.  Im trying something new how I show sneak peeks of a session...this is a test...let me know what you think! Monday was spent with Mr. Gerald and his 1 year/ Cake Smash photos.  The theme was John Deere and was set up in my Batesville Indiana home studio.  I photographed Gerald for his newborn portraits and was so excited when his mom scheduled his session.  I love keeping up with my adorable baby clients, watching them grow up and all the changes!  We started out with the 1 year photos, Gerald wasn't sure what to think.  Eventually he gave me his smile and showed me his dimples!  Then we started the cake smash, and all the fun began.  We brought out the tractors and the cake, we had to show him how to destroy the cake, but once he knew what to do he went for it!  He didn't get quite a

Hey Friends!  Another week of blogging! I mentioned in last weeks blog I would continue with Charlotte's Lifestyle Newborn session...Here it is! I was super excited to photograph little Charlotte's newborn portraits, this session was photographed in my Batesville Indiana home studio.  I love Lifestyle Newborn photos!  While I do love the posed baby photographs, I love more capturing newborn baby in natural positions.  I love when I capture baby with eyes open, something about the click in the camera that gets their attention and look right at me and I get the perfect portrait for mom.  I always try to capture a moment between mom/baby and dad/baby, nothing else better than a bonding photo they will always remember.  Thanks go reading thru my journey with Miss Charlotte.  Next week will continue with her 6 month milestone session.  Im honored to be her photographer, being with her from the beginning, watching her grow is such a delight and kinda makes me feel like part of th

My goodness, it has been awhile!  I have made a resolution to Blog regularly this year...here I go! Introducing Miss Charlotte! I was blessed to be asked to photograph and document her first 48 hours of life.  She was the perfect model, sweetest baby girl who already loved her mommy, daddy and big brother.  Charlotte loved being held by her grandma and loved receiving all the baby gifts, she wasn't too found of her first shots and bath though. I met Charlotte when she was just 1 hour old, she was ready to take on the world.  I can't wait to share some of  her Fresh 48 gallery. Fresh 48 sessions are becoming a favorite of mine, capturing all the fresh goodness of a newborn baby.  This type of session is perfect for the family who does not want birth photography, but wants photos of  their new baby while still in the hospital or place of birth.  I come to the place of baby's birth (Hospital, Home, Birth Center, etc.) within 48 hours and photograph all the newness of your
