Family Photography, Children Photography, Portrait Photography, Central Indiana Photographer You guys!  Im so excited to share these sneak peeks of Brooke and Callen's Mommy and Me Portrait session!  Let's take a look at a few favorite things that made this session gorgeous!  Lighting The lighting for this session was AMAZING!  I always try and start my photo sessions at least 1.5 hours before sunset.  This time of day in the photography world is called The Golden Hour.  It gives off a reddish and softer glow and makes everything colorful, shadows are less dark on your clients  and highlights are less likely to be overexposed, giving you a awesome photo! Location This location had it all!  Spring is finally here in Indiana and everything is green!  I love the trees in the background with the rolling hills in front and off to the side was wild flowers!  I had many spots to choose from.  This was the perfect location for this mommy and me session.  Callen w

Baby Photography, Newborn Photography, Shelbyville Studio What is going on?!  2 blogs in one week!  Studio and On location photo sessions have made me a busy photographer and Im so thankful! :) Today Im featuring Mr. Dawson and his lifestyle newborn session...Im showing his sneak peeks Im emailing mom.  Dawson was 1.5 months when he came to visit my studio, this is one my favorite ages for photographing a newborn.  I know, I know some people and photographers do not consider  newborn photos at this age.  I do.  With my all white lifestyle newborn studio this age is perfect for the natural baby led posing.  Capturing babies with eyes open or closed makes this type of session fun and relaxing...no need to make baby fall asleep.  Dawson gave me so many smiles, his cuteness really comes out in his photos!  The photos with mom are extra special....I always try to get couple photos with mom, something to remind her how small and adorable her baby was.  .... Family Photography, Children Photography, Portrait Photography, Greensburg Indiana When was the last time you had a photo taken with your babies, kids?  My guess it's been awhile, right? Mommy and Me sessions are special moments captured in a fun, beautiful setting,  they can be as easy as sitting on your front porch in front of your home.  There is no need to worry or stress over what to wear, how the kids will be and how you will look...all that matters is the real life moments you will have with your children.  These photos are for your memories, and YOU (mom) need to be in the them! Today's session not only involved mom and kiddos, but grandma too!  How fun is that?  We met up at at a local park in Greensburg Indiana.  I brought along flowers (for kids to give to mom and grandma), bubbles (I have learned to keep kids involved in photos, bring bubbles) and to end the session we had cookies!  We walked around the park and found the best and most beautiful l
