Introducing Miss Caroline Marie Emerson...I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Caroline only after being born 2 hours earlier....This type of photo session is called Fresh 48.  A Fresh 48 session is a great way to capture all the firsts in a baby's life...bonding with parents, meeting the family, first bath, first shots, first feeding...and the first few hours of life.  This type of session usually takes place within 48 hours of giving birth and can be in the hospital or after you are home, this is a lifestyle session so there is no posing, just photographing the new life....This is one of my favorite ways to help parents remember the real-life moments of their baby's first few hours. I knew from the first email this family was going to be fun!!  I was right!!  We met up on January 1st, my first session of the year...Happy New Year to me!  What should have been a cold blustery day in January turned out to be a sunny and somewhat warm day (for January anyway), we met up at a local park in Shelbyville Indiana.  This was my first time meeting the Perkins family and what a great family they are.  They were willing to try any ideas I had, even with grandpa and grandkids on the swings...I have to say I kinda felt like I had been adopted by this family...I always smile when I receive an email from Ray...makes my day.  Im posting a few of their favorites...including the photo they chose as their family photo...on the monkey bars!  Told you they were fun!! After what felt like many hours, Olivia was ready to meet the grandparents and family.  First came in grandma and grandpa Bohall and grandma Wessic....tears flowed, big smiles (my favorite smile is mom introducing Olivia to grandpa), every emotion that could happen, happened.  I could tell right off that Olivia was going to be loved and welcomed to the family.  Next came grandpa Wessic...lets just say the meeting of Olivia was special, feelings of only what a grandpa could feel.  Rest of family came in also sharing big smiles and happiness of the new family member.  This was a special moment of the birth photo session, I was happy I could document these memories for the family to remember forever.  Next I will be blogging the Fresh 48 hours...subscribe to my blog and you will be notified when next stage is posted.  Thanks! -Gina
